Goon Squad captures Wintergrasp in less than 2 minutes
I don't think there is any word to describe this video, but I guess that "clever use of game mechanics" works. Goon Squad on US-Mal'Ganis managed to capture Wintergrasp by using a lot of engineers and a lot of grenades.
Dinner and a Movie – Midsummer Edition
Welcome to a special midsummer fire festival edition of Dinner and a Movie! Normally, as you know, I would discuss something that has to do with the cooking profession, but today I'm gonna tell you a little bit about some of the delectable treats you can score in game from the Fire Festival vendors! As a special bonus, this week's movie is a touching love story between a troll that likes to PvE, and a blood elf that enjoys pwning his enemies in the battlegrounds! Will they ever find common ground? You gotta watch to find out!
In order to purchase these hot treats of summer, you're going to need Burning Blossoms. You can get these by completing quests, including the daily quests, throughout the festival. They can also be used to reignite an extinguished bonfire or give you a temporary but useful buff.
The cheapest of these hot treats is the Fiery Festival Brew, a spicy, strong alcoholic drink that packs quite a punch! Drink it and it'll set your breath on fire! This drink can be obtained for a measly two blossoms.
What would summer be without hot dogs? For a mere five blossoms a piece, you can score a Midsummer Sausage that increases your spellpower by 23 for an hour, and a Fire Toasted Bun that increases your hit rating by 20 for an hour!
Got a sweet tooth? We got you covered there too! Elderberry Pies are 5 blossoms a piece and increase your defense by 20 for one hour! Toasted Smorcs, (cause come on.. who doesn't like smorcs?) will increase your healing by 44 for an hour, and only costs five blossoms!
For hot eats and sweet treats, head down to your local Fire Festival vendor today!
And now, I present the movie!
Cranius and Summergale are back in this new musical parody! You'll remember Cranius as the writer behind "Big Blue Dress" and Summergale from Nyhm's videos! This is their collaboration, and if you listen to it too much it'll get stuck in your head! Still, its an awesome job.

The design recipes for cutting epic gems will be made available for purchase with Dalaran Jewelcrafter’s Tokens and there are several ways to obtain raw epic gems:
Prospecting Titanium Ore

Coinciding with the implementation of epic gems and the gain that Blacksmiths will receive through their perk from these new gems, we have gone through all of the perks in every profession and increased their values to match up accordingly.
Dinner and a movie!
Friday night is the traditional date night, so I thought, why not bring the tradition here too? Cooking profession notes and a youtube video go hand in hand! At least I think they do. So without further adieu… lets go!
Cooking – Not just for non-pirates anymore.
With the recent addition of achievements before Wrath of the Lich King came out, many people decided to drop their faction rep with the goblin cartel towns in lieu of the Bloodsail Buccaneers. What does having an exalted reputation with the Bloodsail Buccaneers get you? Upon achieving this rank, you get a pirate costume, a pirate hat that summons a parrot, and the title of "Bloodsail Admiral" via the achievement. This is great and all, but if you were lazy or just didn't bother leveling cooking too much before you did this, you were stuck.
There was only one way to get your skill up to Artisan Cooking, and that was by gathering the ingredients this little goblin chef in Tanaris named Dirge Quickcleave, needed for his Clamlette Surprise. Of course, if you were already exalted with the Bloodsails, there was no way this goblin would talk to you, let alone allow you to walk into his inn.
Your first professions
You have leveled up your first character, and have exited the beginner area of the first zone. You wander to the main level 5-10 town and you see something that was absent in the beginner zone. Profession trainers! In the World of Warcraft you have a wonderful ability to create goods to sell, or to use yourself from professions. Now you’re thinking, ‘Okay, what should I pick.’ In the end, it is your choice, but are you going to be a Warrior with Tailoring, or a Mage with Blacksmithing? I doubt it. So let’s have a runthrough. You have eight major crafting professions; Blacksmithing, Tailoring, Leatherworking, Jewelcrafting, Engineering, Alchemy, Inscription, and Enchanting. To accompany these, you also have three gathering professions; Mining, Herbalism, and Skinning. You can take up two professions, so hopefully this will give you an idea on what to pick.
With Blacksmithing, you are able to create mail and plate armor and weapons of all types. The classes who would most benefit would be Warriors, Paladins, and Death Knights. All of these classes benefit with these armor types. Mail and Plate armor and weapons are good money for a beginner as well, and you will be able to sell them on the auction house for a pretty penny later.
Engineering: is it useless?
Some people said Engineering was already on its deathbed. However, when one of the key items to have in the arena, the Nitro Boosts which greatly increased your run speed for a few seconds, got a nerf, many people were outraged. Then the goggles that made Engineering so famous were ripped of their stealth detection.
Now many people wonder if Engineering is really all that anymore. Sure, it's got some fun stuff to play around with, but when it comes to actually helping during the times that you need it, it just doesn't live up to expectations.
What do you think about Engineering? Is it good, is it bad, or is it just plain out useless?
Professions and you
